Location: Eastside Milwaukee
About me: I work at the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra and enjoy the arts scene, but I am tone deaf and can barely draw a stick figure. I have really neat handwriting, does that count as being artistic? I love to run, bike, play tennis, soccer, kickball, salsa dance and watch foreign/indie movies. I am fluent in Spanish and my Palestinean grandmother is bitter that I can't lace together a sentence in Arabic.

MKE folds to the pressures of the digital era
The newspaper? Who reads the newspaper anymore? I do, but sometimes I get to certain sections a day late. Much to my surprise on this sleepy Friday afternoon, I flip open the chalky, matte pages of the cumbersome print edition of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel (Thursday's ed...

 The A.D.D. Generation
Straddling the gray line of GenX and GenY, I am torn as to where my loyalties lay. I relish in the advancements from the tech-savvy Generation X, but cannot identify with the stereotypical reputation as being apathetic, cynical or a slacker, like members of GenY. Allow me to make my case on...

 Supermarket faux paux
With gas surpassing $4 per gallon, I thought that now might be a good time to jump on that going green bandwagon. I've been taking baby steps by switching to energy efficient light bulbs, walking to work more often and carrying reusable grocery bags. Have you noticed that some places like Whole F...

Doug Melvin trading for a relief pitcher.
The Cubs and the Cardinals falling apart.
Ben Sheets staying healthy.
More amazing performances by CC Sabathia.
The Brewers continuing to play with confidence and ignoring the hype.
Play .500 ball on the road, win in front of big crowds at home.
