Tower Site UWM???

Why would anyone ever consider the former Tower Automotive site for UWM expansion?? That area of Milwaukee is one of the most crime riden in Milwaukee. You would have to armed security for the parking lots. The buildings would need untold updates costing tax payers dearly unless they were torn down and started from scratch and that also would be cost prohibited. I worked at AOSmith/Tower for 30 plus years and our safety and vehicle safety were always an issue. As a parent I would never consider sending my children or myself for that matter to that area of town to get an education with the risks involved.

UWM is a great institution and I would think that the powers would see through any attempt by the Mayor or city counsel to persuade them to invest or relocate to the former industrial site.
