I have a lot of cds.

A lot of people have a lot of 'gigs' on their 'hard drive' but not me, I'm old fashioned.

I have a lot of cds.

I like albums. Full albums. I don't buy songs. I buy albums.

Over the past year I've found myself listening to NPR/WPR the majority of the day in favor of listening to music full time. As a result if I do find myself listening to music when the radio topic doesn't catch my attention, it is rarely more than one particular album by one particular group a day. And sometimes from inertia (laziness) a day can becomes days and a week.

But I have all these CDs stacked about my office. Exactly 20 years worth of CD buying collecting dust (I still remember my first batch of CDs, Sonic Youth 'Confusion is Sex' - stolen from my house in Madison in 1994 by a guy named Snap - and The Cure: Staring at a Beach).

And so I've decided to do something new. I'm going to close my eyes and randomly select one CD. I will then listen to that CD and only that CD (when listening to music mind you) until such time that I find the time to write a review of the CD. Once the review is written and posted I will once again close my eyes and randomly select a new CD selection and repeat the process. 

I'm about to pick my first pick...I've just opened my eyes and my first selection is: King Tee 'Tha Triflin' Album'
