Brick 3 Pizza: Old Street New Flavors
While it seems a large portion of Milwaukee was rushing over to Ian’s Pizza I decided to take a venture over to Brick 3 on Old World Third St. I was determined to grab a taste of some authentic New York style pizza that I had been hearing about. Brick 3 takes their name from the old bricks that still define Old World Third Street and give it that old Milwaukee feel. But there is nothing old about the flavors and decor inside this pizza joint.
As soon as I walked in I was immediately captured by the bakery display case of canolis ($2.75), eclairs ($2.75) and fresh cake including cheesecake ($3.00/slice). This was a genius idea on the owners part since I doubt many will be able to pass up a sweet treat after a nice hot piece of pizza. I was able to hold it together knowing I was going to dive into a few different slices and would barely have room for a sweet treat.
