I'm writting about Taylor's People's park. Where do I start? I've been there about 15 times in the 8 months it's been open and I have to say that everytime I go it gets worse. They used to have a Chef there at one point and the food was good, consistant and delicious, but for whatever reason they let the Chef go. The difference is huge. The quality went down hill over night. No consistancy, little to no presentation and it takes forever to get your meal. I stopped going for this reason. Burgers are dry and bland, they say it but I know for a fact the potstickers are not homemade, depending on what day you go the French fries are always differant. It appears as though the Taylors have invested alot of money into making the little corner bar look hip and trendy but have settled for young inexperienced cooks who look as though they might mug you in the back ally after your meal. As far as People's Park's longevity, you can already see the decline in buisiness as it's no longer the "new" place on the block.

My suggestion is get the Chef back or hire someone with more experience than jail time in the kitchen. Also have a dinning room manager who will spend more time on the floor than out back smoking cigarettes. And who is the General Manager? Do they ever work there or is it a "phantom" manager?

The location is great, Waukesha needs nice places for diners, but Taylor's fails on too much, that unfortunatly, we'll probably see it close like all the other one hit wonders

oops, my comment above was cut short. I LOVE People' Park. The food is consistantly good... I would say that it is higher-end casual. Just what is needed in downtown Waukesha. I like the atmosphere (worth the trip just to see the bathrooms), the people are great... it's a place that I go when I need to impress a client. I'm sure that like all new businesses go through some growing pains... and People's Park probable had a few... but I wish the owners the best and hope that it is there for many, many years.

Hi... I live in Milwaukee and go to Waukesha several times a month for business. Over the years poor, Waukesha's downtown was more like a ghost town. It is only recently that Main Street is becoming a destination. Thanks to the many people who take risks, experiment, put blood sweat and tears into their dreams, Waukesha can now claim a Main Street to be proud of. People's Park

Reader poll
Would you rather suffer through a December of sub-zero temperatures and blizzards or a first-round playoff loss at the hands of Brett Favre?
I'll take the Ice Age and a Packers win.
I'd rather see the Packers lose to Favre so I can stay warm.
This is like choosing the least painful way to die.
