This is it, the homestretch in the blogging contest, and also my final blog.  These last two weeks have been nothing short of amazingly fun for me.  I’ve gone Boston mad and have had nothing but Boston on the brain since my first entry.  It’s unbelievable how much the city came up in conversation or I’d hear something on T.V. about Salem.  I’ve even met two different people who’ve previously lived in Boston in the course of my blogging, and along with getting excellent tips from them they’ve gone into a blissfully excited retelling of the amazing times they had in the city, getting me that much more anxious to see this fabulous place.

One would think my family and my boyfriend would have tried to kill me by now after how much I’ve talked about the sites or neat things to do.  Surprisingly though, they’ve actually become that much more excited about the contest and the city, even researching themselves about fun things I could go, see, and do on a trip.

Now more than ever I want to see the East Coast, an area of the country I’ve never yet made it to.  I want to experience the enthralling and deeply rooted history of Boston that I’ve studied and so often seen on travel and history documentaries.  I want to take a picture outside of Fenway Park, completing my baseball fan all-time dream.  I want to walk the entire Freedom Trial, and take a picture at all of the sites to remember how fun it was to see and experience living history. I want to taste the sweetness of an authentic Boston Cream Pie at the place it came from, and revel in the wonderful witchy-ness of Salem.  But most of all I want to be the one for once who can talk about Boston, whether it be to my giant-lobster-holding Brother, my college friend who lived there, or anyone else I meet, and inspire them the way I’ve been to travel to an amazing area of our country and a uniquely wonderful city.

Would you rather suffer through a December of sub-zero temperatures and blizzards or a first-round playoff loss at the hands of Brett Favre?
I'll take the Ice Age and a Packers win.
I'd rather see the Packers lose to Favre so I can stay warm.
This is like choosing the least painful way to die.
