"There's God."
So, I'm driving with my buddy on the way to La Crosse for the big 4-0 getaway. As blessed as I am, I do drive a BWM Z4 convertible.
Top-down, we were half the way to Madison when the overcast clouds started to break up and beams of light shown down to the land. Both of us looked at each other and said.... "There's God." It's how we were raised. He's 43, I'm 40 - both post Vatican 2. The image we gre up with Jesus or God was "the light of the world." So, when you see beams of light, a sunset, "the light in the darkness..." that's God.
We don't necessarily adhere to that same point of view 30 some years later, but it was refreshing to thin that our relationship with God and the beauty of nayure started with a beam of light and the hope of youth.
