Eventhough I live in Grafton (a suburb 20 miles North of Milwaukee) and haven't been to many Milwaukee area bars or pubs (aside from Scooter's and Brother's on Water Street) I'd be willing to bet that the best Brew Pub in the greater Milwaukee Area is Silver Creek Brew Pub in Cedarburg, Wi.
Silver Creek is located inside the historic Cedarburg Mill and is positioned masterfully along beautiful, picturesque Cedar Creek. When the sun is shining in the middle of summer and it's five o'clock somewhere, there is no better place to be than Silver Creek's beer garden watching the water cascade down the river while sipping one of the two dozen or so beers that Silver Creek brews themselves.
"The Creek" as my friends and I call it, offers plenty of styles of beer that appeal to any palette. From lager to light ale, Weiss to Fruit, Stout to Porter and every other style imaginable, Silver Creek has them all and won't disappoint. Their current menu selection is always available on their website and if you stop in to try one of their brews but aren't sure what to get, just ask and they will provide you with some samples.
Aside from the excellent choice and selection of brews that Silver Creek has to offer, they also provide their visitors with live music almost every Saturday night. My favorite would have to be the Dueling Pianos who are lively and fun and play their entire set based on what the audience suggests they play. It is a tremendous experience that I would recommend to everyone.
Silver Creek also offers its own version of Happy Hour every Wednesday and Thursday from 5-7 pm and Fridays from 4-6 pm.
If you are looking for a nice, relaxing place with a magnificent setting, Silver Creek is exactly what you are looking for. Oh and by the way, try the Hefe Weiss. It is my favorite beer ever!!!!

Inside, Yes it is completely smoke free. But outside the building and in the beer garden feel free to light up your favorite cigarette or cigar.

You're right. Excellent point. I forgot about that. I take it you've been there before? Isn't it a great place to have a brew or two?

It is a great place to go anytime of the year. I forgot to mention that the bartenders are always friendly and they also have a dartboard and three tvs for your viewing pleasure. Keep in mind, the atmosphere is more of a relaxed feeling but it is still a place where anyone can have a good time.
