If I was in charge of the brewers.... this is what I would do....

Next year line up the way I would do it ....

1.    Lopez 2nd and leadoff

2.    Weeks right field (or center)

3.    Prince  left

4.    Braun first (yes braun at 4 and Prince at 3)

5.    Gamel 3rd

6.    Brett Lawrie Center (stud prospect that hasn't found a position yet)

7.    Rivera catching (or another catcher that hits...need a change from Kendall)

8.    Escobar short

9.    Pitcher

I like this line up. Very tough on pitchers and opposing managers as the game wears.

I would then look to move Cameron, Hall, Hardy for pitching....or something like draft picks to be used as pitching prospects. Potentially keep hart as a backup (or trade for pitching--he struggles with the slider low and away). McGehee and Council are utility infielders that both ROCK.

Keep our bull pen similar minus villaneva. The bull pen is just way over worked. Over the last 2 months I wouldn't be surprised if we have the most innings worked of any bullpen.

Then. Obviously we need to rework our starters. Looper is more of a 4 or 5 guy. Yovanni is a 1 or 2. I still like para as a 3. So we need 2-3 new starters.... One stud!  Soup is over the hill.  Bush...if he gets his arm back to top form is a solid #5 guy....but I have my concerns personally.  We need two horses that are tough and can give you 7+ innings regularly.....and for an entire season.

That is my 2 cents. Good day!

Stay thirsty my friend.

Recent Talkbacks ...

Thank you for your talkback and noticing that error. You are correct...when I moved my line up around I missed moving the position with the player (I would guess you've made an error once or twice?). Correction would be Prince at 1st base and Braun in left. This is obviously just a blog, an opinion, fun and something I feel could work. Many of my friends say that Braun is a 3 hitter all day and Prince is made for cleanup. I do agree with that; however, I very much like the diversity of the entire line up the way I've set it up...mixing left hitters and righties. Certainly there is some unproven names in there but that is why this is a BLOG and I am not the General Manager of the Crew. Either way I am a fan and will continue to be a fan and have fun thinking about different posibilities. Go Brewers!!!

Reader poll
Would you rather suffer through a December of sub-zero temperatures and blizzards or a first-round playoff loss at the hands of Brett Favre?
I'll take the Ice Age and a Packers win.
I'd rather see the Packers lose to Favre so I can stay warm.
This is like choosing the least painful way to die.
