As a bartender on Brady street I am very familiar with the dining choices it has to offer.  Of the many beloved places within a one block radius one of my favorites has come to be The Burger Joint.  Whether I am in the mood for cheese fries, wings, sweet treats or a big juicy cheeseburger I know where to find it.  The staff is always very kind and as an impatient person, I give them a huge thumbs up for their speedy service.

Thursday night I had the opportunity to meet Mazen Muna, the owner of The Burger Joint.  It was a very exciting night for both the business and me because as a special treat, the Green Bay Packers came to eat after finishing the last day of football camp for The Gilbert Brown Foundation.

Every year, Gilbert Brown hosts a football camp for underprivileged youth in Milwaukee.  For three days, Brown and many other players give kids a chance to meet and learn from the pros.  This year the players, along with family and friends, decided to stop at The Burger Joint before heading to Decibel for Brown’s themed party for all who helped at the camp.

Everyone I spoke to had nothing but great things to say about their dining experience.  A few made mention of feeling so full they didn’t know if they could have anything at the party later.  As a thank you for coming in, Muna covered the cost for the groups’ meals and also decided to make a donation to The Gilbert Brown Foundation in an undisclosed amount.  When Brown gave his thanks Muna expressed that he likes to give back to the community.  He has hopes for the future of Brady and for The Burger Joint.

I am very flattered to have been a part of this experience.  Hopefully I will see all of you at The Burger Joint soon!
