Does this sound like the perfect entrée? Then you are welcome at my house any Wednesday for lunch. This is the day when I try my hand at having twins. In real life (six days out of seven), I have two boys and they are generously spaced apart by six years. On Wednesdays, I welcome my nephew who is 18 months to join my youngest who is 15 months and we party….toddler style. If I am not in the right mood (mellow), this day drags on. On days like today, we were grooving!

Lunch was the most interesting part as both boys carried on an entire conversation without using one word that I could make out. As I turned my head back and forth between the high chairs, there was no mistaking that they were enjoying their verbal exchange – the only one feeling left out was me. So I joined in! It took me a while to not feel like I was speaking in tongues, but I used made up words that sounded far superior to our “real” words. Who knows?  Maybe they were just making fun of me.  But, for 30 minutes it worked!
