I am so happy! The keyboardist in the band, Drive By Truckers got walking pnumonia, so they canceled a few shows, and will reschedule their show here in Milwaukee! I know I never should feel bad for another person's misery but my reasoning is this...
Last year my man made our plans for Florida that always revolve around his birthday. I was poor, since I had no job, so he paid for the trip, by working a ton of overtime. A week after he booked the trip, it was announced that the Drive By Truckers were coming to town when we were away. He was not a happy camper, but we did have an amazing trip in the 80s and constant sunshine.
This summer, Drive By Truckers did do Summerfest, however my man working 2nd shift, and had used the rest of his time off this year going to brewers games, yet again, we couldn't go.
This year, I booked the trip to Florida approximately the day before it was announced that the Drive by Truckers were coming, it seemed that fate was laughing at us for poor planning, even thought I got amazingly cheap airline tickets for the both of us.
So, after reading on their website that the show was postposted, I texted my man, about what was going on now.. and I eagarly await a new date, so I can use my videophone to call and request an interperter, since my man works first shift now, we can GO! Finally I can see what the fuss is about!

a minor correction-it is not the keyboard player who is sick. it is the guitarist/singer Patterson Hood.
and that summerfest show was one of the best shows i've ever seen by anybody ever.

I couldn't go, since I am deaf, and I would be able to read his lips to understand the music, since any show outside the Marcus Amp, during Summerfest, its impossible to get an interpreter for.
I was just reading the Turner Hall Ballroom site... and this show is totally canceled, they were not able to reschedule. Let's hope they come back again soon!
