Hello Milwaukee!

I wanted to create this blog in order to help my research.  I am researching the Milwaukee La Cosa Nostra family a.k.a., The Balistrieri Family, a.k.a. Milwaukee Organized Crime family.  I have been doing some research on this topic on and off since about 1992, way before The Soprano's or before the mafia became so popular.  I mention this because I would like to point out my geniune interest in gathering some information, I'm not doing this because the mob is suddenly cool or hot.  I already have some info but I want or need tons more.

I would appreciate any help or info anyone could provide me.  I will take any info, names, dates, pictures, personal accounts, articles, or anything that can point me in the right direction.  I understand that some individuals especially those in the Italian American community might take some offense to this blog. I am not attempting to generalize or indicate that all Italian Americans are mobsters or criminals or anything of the sort. Italian Americans are a great people with rich traditions and culture.  Organized crime members are a select few who chose the wrong side of the law.

The reason for my research is for my own interest. I may some day decide to write a book on the subject - If I can ever get anymore info on them.  I would also like to mention that I will keep all sources confidential if you were to provide some information.
