Well I nailed the interview.
I was smooth, sauve, personable and energetic. By the time I got home there was a message on my answering machine with a job offer.
I accepted ...
But later that night, I calculated the true cost of my decision. Turns out the financial offer they made was less than I had anticipated and it further turned out that the free babysitting for Waylon I had anticipated wasn't permenant: so all those turnouts combined meant a minus $20,000 a year swing in income ($10,000 less salary, $10,000 paid out to daycare).
So I don't know what I'm going to do - I've decided I'm going to party like one should on New Years Eve and figure it all out on Wednesday!

Wow, that's quite a blow. Any chance you'll be able to work back up to that level?
