I just dined at a fabulous new asian fusion restaurant called Umami Moto in downtown Milwaukee. The restaurant is located where Eve nightclub used to be. I was amazed at how busy and popular this place was seeing that it's only been open a week! Even more amazing was how good the food was. Something for everyone and moderately priced as well. I was told the Chef (Dominic Zumpano) previously worked at the prestigious elements at Sanctuary Camelback Mountain in Scottsdale, AZ with Beau MacMillan who battled on Iron Chef!

I ate at the Umami Moto in Brookfield a few times. The first time was great. The second time was BLECH. Inconsistency makes me wary of trying it again.

Is it just me, or does this sounds like an attempt at "grass roots" marketing by someone who actually is part of and/or works for Umami Moto? Ah well. I could just be a cynic.

I had the pleasure of eating at Elements at The Sanctuary earlier this year and was totally blown away. One of the best meals I have ever had. Although I have heard both good and bad about Umami Moto in Brookfield, I will have to try the downtown location.

The same time is also doing a restaurant called "Charro" across the street.

I agree, I think Umami Moto will be competition for Saketumi. I was wowed by the taste and quality of the food at Umami Moto and the ambience is fun as well.

The upsatirs of Eve is 720 & the downstairs is Umami, it's just going to be competition for Sake.

If you could choose, would you prefer December or March to stay warm and snowless in Milwaukee?
December. I'm not ready for winter yet.
March. By then, I need winter to be over.
There's no use complaining or hoping for better weather in Wisconsin.
Actually, I like snow.
