As some of you may know, I am getting married this October to a member of the Onmilwaukee.com staff. Planning is in "full swing" right now; we've got the church, the recption site, the dj, and THE CAKE (man I love cake.) We're throwing out some ideas to make the event more fun and memorable, and one of those ideas was renting a photobooth for the reception.
Now, we already have fantastic photographers booked for the event (Frontroom Photography out of Bayview), and I made a point when we were discussing what kind of photographs we would like for our wedding, that I would like some candid shots of our guests included. But, I think that if we rent a photobooth too, we can get some pretty original and creative shots through the night, not to mention that it would give our guests something fun to take home with them since the photos print right away.
So, what do you think folks? Photobooth: cool idea or just an excuse to have visual evidence of public drunkenness and wedding hookups?

i vote do it. they had one at a reception i was at and it was loads of fun.
all of the kids in attendance went ape for the damn thing, as well!

I was just at a wedding this weekend that had a booth and it was fantastic! It was the best party favor I have gotten at a wedding and it really turned out to be a lot of fun. Go for it, you won't regret it!

Go for it. A few years ago I was at a wedding with one and it was lots of fun. They used it as a way to sign their guest book.

It's a definite! While Frontroom is FANTASTIC they do not give you the rights to your photos. So if that's important to you... I would do it.

I say do it... do be aware that it should maybe be taken down after a certain point in the evening, unless you want those drunken photos you mentioned. I think it's a cute idea and would be a fun surprise for your guests.
