Channel 6 hires a new anchor from Chicago
Channel 6 has hired Anne State as a weeknight co-anchor. She'll start at the station the week of Oct. 4, but it's not clear when she'll debut on the air.
She spent two years at WBBM-TV, Chicago's CBS affiliate, and her contract wasn't renewed, as Chicago's Robert Feder reported.

This is a fantastic "get" for Channel 6. State is a powerful presence and will lend an air of professionalism to the newscast.

This will be especially good if she replaces Hicks. Stoker Smith was a major upgrade from Kravy. If Hicks is out next, I'm back in as a regular 6 viewer.

I am just getting used to and liking Mary Stoker-Smith as a replacement. She is easy on the eyes, also.
Maybe Ann will replace Brad Hicks??
Probly not gonna happen....
