A bit of the "Jersey Shore" is coming to town on Feb. 1. as Jenni Farley (Jwoww, if you will), makes an appearance at Suite Milwaukee, 1103 N. Old World 3rd St.
I watched an episode MTV's "Jersey Shore" this weekend. I'd heard crazy things and figured I'd better check it out for the sake of musing on pop culture, and because I'd heard that a cast member was coming to town for another one of these "celebrity" appearances.
While I'm not adding it to the DVR anytime soon, it's a fun train wreck to watch and there's no denying that a few cast members may have reality TV fame written all over them.
Like many of the "Jersey Shore" cast members, Farley, 21, is doing appearances at clubs. There's no cover charge before 11 p.m. for the event and Ultimat Vodka will have samples from 10 p.m. to 11 p.m.

I am shocked the guy with the Star Wars picture wouldn't go out to a bar or club...you must get all the chicks. And you follow up with someone who is going to it...nice

The fact that you all know what the show is about is funny. I would guess that Suite is doing this event to make money. Can't blame them for an off night promotion that will indeed pack the place with young people that are obsessed with the hottest show, regardless of what it is about. Usually the ones who complain on these forums are the ones who sit at home on Friday and Saturday nights mad at the world. I am sure this blog is on this website for a reason...probably tons of hits by haters and lovers of the show...getting Onmilwaukee younger readers. JWoww has 15 minutes of fame then she is done. These types of appearances make her money, the club money, and allows fans of the show to interact with the people they watch...no harm, just don't go if you can't understand pop culture..or do so you can complain about the beers not being $2 or something....
It is true that they totally "dismantle" the typical Italian, from any place in American. They are not the norm and they believe that by stating they are Italian they are simply saying that they could kick someone's arse and that they have a free pass to be macho and arrogant. And if you ask, I am of Italian-Irish decent and have a few cousins who have acted like they are "mobster cool" like these folks.
Either way, this is neither newsworthy or worthy of the cost to have a cocktail, nor ever have respect for Suite. Unfortunately, my cousin is going because she is the embodiment of a true Italian woman.
Can't do it Crush...the "stars" and MTV are fully endorsing the Italian culture that they subscribe to. I whole-heartedly believe that they are the minority, but they brought this upon themselves and subsequently the Italian community...fair or not.
