King Solomon
Description:
King Solomon was formed in October of 1998 by guitarist Terry Tanger and drummer Keith Green. Tanger, former guitarist and frontman for the popular '80s band the X-Cleavers, and Green, former drummer/vocalist from the band Kojo, came together to form a more distinctive sound on the local reggae music scene. In their search for that distinctive sound, they came across former Citizen King bassist Cory Coleman and invited him to join the band. The foundation was set.
All that was needed now was a front person with the energy and charisma to add the finishing touches to the King Solomon reggae sound. Enter the Jamaican DJ dancehall toasting style of "JD" Ranken. JD comes to King Solomon by way of Ocho Rios, Jamaica.
