Milwaukee's own Steve Miller will play Summerfest 2008, festival officials announced today. The Steve Miller Band takes the Marcus Amphitheater stage at 7:30 p.m. June 29, with Joe Cocker opening the show.
The Steve Miller Band's hits include "Fly Like An Eagle," "The Joker," "Take the Money and Run," and "Rock'n Me." Cocker found most of his success in the late '60s with covers of songs by the Beatles, Stevie Wonder and Bob Dylan.
Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. April 5 and will be available for $55, $50 and $40. The price does not include service fees, but does include Summerfest admission and facility fees.
Summerfest 2008 takes place from June 26 to July 7.
