Madison's Sleeping in the Aviary joins up with Milwaukee's Will Phalen & the Stereo Addicts and the Northside O'Donnells to start off the weekend of rock. SITA has been getting a lot of national attention lately and after you hear "Another Girl" off "Oh, This Old Thing" you might better understand why. Catch the band this Friday, Sept. 14 at Linneman's.
Evan Christian is a man you might be seeing more of lately. The flamenco guitar player has a regular Monday night gig at the Estate, as well as a Thursday night spot at the Jackalope Lounj. Here's "Can You Feel Me" off "Fuego!"
One of the great things about this city is that the weekend festivals make the summer feel like it goes on forever. The Bay View Bash happens this weekend with tons of great local bands on four stages along Kinnickinnic Ave. Rush-Mor Records, OnMilwaukee.com and WMSE have a stage on KK and Potter and Testa Rosa kicks off the music at noon on Saturday, Sept. 15, followed by The Jon Savage at 1:15 p.m., Jetty Boys at 2:30 p.m. and Knit Delicate at 3:45 p.m.
Stick around the stage for evening performances by The Championship at 5:30 p.m., Decibully at 6:30 p.m. and Brazzaville at 8:30 p.m.
