We told you all about The Saltshakers' new album, "Up All Night" in this interview with frontman Chad Curtis, and now we're telling you where you can get yourself a free copy of it. The Saltshakers host a CD release party at The Mad Planet this Saturday, Sept. 8 with guests The Box Social and Heathrow.
The Goodnight Loving is playing two WMSE-sponsored shows in celebration of the release of its new CD, "Crooked Lake." On Friday, Sept. 7, you can see the Dusty Medical Records flagship band live at Club Garibaldi, 2501 S. Superior St., with funk-favorites, The Chain. Then on Saturday, Sept. 15, the boys play an all-ages show at ShorewoodLegion Hall, 4121 N. Wilson Dr., with labelmates Holy Sh*t, Tuff Bananas and Plexi 3.
We close this codpaste with a lengthy track by West Bend's Canyons of Static, an instrumental post-rock band playing this Friday, Sept. 7 at Stonefly Brewing Co. White, Wrench, Conservatory. (yes, with the punctuation) opens the show.

Go see Test Site this Saturday at the Cactus Club (if it's open). Even if you don't like heavy music this band is just straight up talented.

The Mighty Deer Lick?! Those jokers don't even qualify as a real band. Milwaukee's worst, right after the Bodeans!

Heathrow is no longer on the bill for the Saltshakers show. The Mighty Deerlick will be filling in. September just became Rocktember.
