The Kents kick off the Codpaste this week with a Live on WMSE track from last November called "Grace A Chandler." The band is playing the Cactus Club this Saturday, June 9 with White Wrench Conservatory, IfIHadaHiFi and Viva La Fox.

We've got some new material from Certain Stars. The new EP, "Wired For Sound" dropped May 19 and you can catch the live show this Friday, June 8 at the Cactus Club with the Melismatics and Luminol.

And now for something completely different. Hardcore thrashers People Again played Live at WMSE last November, so we'll play you a track from that performance to give you an idea of what the live experience might be like. Into it? Head to the Miramar on Friday, June 8 at 6 p.m. where you'll see the band opening for The Avoided's CD release party. You're in luck, kiddies -- it's an all-ager.

And at last, new music from Decibully. The new album will surface sooner or later, but until then, you can listen to a new song called "Broken Glass," performed by B.J. and Nick when they stopped in at WMSE in May. You can see all seven of the Decibullies play for free at the Locust Street Festival this Sunday, June 10 at 6 p.m. on the Lakefront Brewery Stage.
