This might just be the juiciest Local Music Podcast that OnMilwaukee.com and WMSE has ever compiled. Excuse me while I use a cliché, but spring is in the air, and we're here to put a little spring in your step with some hot tracks from a few Milwaukee bands. OK, fine, and one Madison band, too. But it's really good. Promise. Tune in every Monday to get the fresh lowdown on local music. Enjoy.
This week's podcast begins with Master Zaster Blaster and its famed thrash track "BBC World War III." The band hits The Mad Planet this Saturday, April 5 to open for the Milwaukee-linked Samwell (What? What?). Screamin' Cyn Cyn and the Pons and Uncle Larry round out the bill. Now dance!
Are you privy to the dirty club glamour that is Juiceboxxx? You should be -- and be proud to call him one of our own as he claimed more and more national respect. The Vicious Pop contributor teams up with Pittsburgh's fast rap duo Grand Buffet at the Cactus Club on Monday, April 7.
Sleeping in the Aviary is from Madison, but we love 'em anyway. We're happy to announce they've got a show at the Borg Ward, 823 W. National Ave., this Saturday with IfIHAdaHiFi, The Box Social and Mise en Place.
In mid-February I had the pleasure of announcing Why?'s first Milwaukee gig at the Cactus Club. Appropriately enough, our very own Stumblesome scored one of the highly sought after opening slots, as did The Scarring Party. It's gonna be big, folks. Arrive early.
