It's the start of a new week and here in the editorial offices of OnMilwaukee.com that means it's time to present our latest Local Music Podcast, brought to you weekly by OMC and our pals WMSE. The week of March 20 brings many things in the realm of Milwaukee-made music, including bands with new songs, new albums and even one with a new name. Please enjoy.
For those of you unaware that Milwaukee's Wolfbite has changed its name to Skull Time, take note. It's still the same guys, still the same sound, only now brought to you by a band that doesn't have the word "wolf" as a prefix nor suffix. Skull Time's got a new album coming out in April and you can hear the new songs this Thursday, March 22 when the band plays with The Paybacks and SSM at Stonefly Brewing Co.
Next is a song called "Bad Motorcycle" of The Uptown Savages' latest album, "Crazy, Crazy, Crazy." If you're digging the surf rock/rockabilly that this band has honed into an art form, check out the live show this Saturday night, March 24, with Rev 500 at Points East Pub.
The same night across town in Riverwest Leo Minor, The Etiquette and Pat Fuller (ex-Temper, Temper) come together in concert at The Mad Planet. Rumor has it that The Etiquette has recently spent some time in the studio, though nothing new has surfaced quite yet. You're sure to hear some fresh material Saturday night, but in the mean time, we play "All Over You," which is a few years old now, but still tons of fun.
To close out the week's session we've got "Brontosaurus Blues" from the Box Social, who is changing things up by playing a show at Homestead High School in Mequon on Friday, March 23. Cougar Den and Terrior Bute are also on the bill for the all-ages show, which starts at 6 p.m.
