Here's a reminder to all local music fans...
Greg Koch, Willy Porter, Peter Mulvey, Paul Cebar, Robin Pluer, John Sieger and the Subcontinentals, The Lackloves and Chuck Hedges are just a few of the familiar names scheduled to perform at a benefit concert for Milwaukee bass player Jim Kishline this Sunday, July 15 at 1 p.m.
Kishline, a longtime fixture in the Milwaukee music scene who has played in several bands over the years, including the Rockin' Robins, suffered a serious head injury due to an accident on May 6 and has been hospitalized for several weeks. Though he remains in stable yet serious condition, he has been showing some signs of improvement.
Cream City Music, 12505 W. Bluemound Rd., is hosting the event in cooperation with Jam for S.A.M., a non-profit organization committed to providing temporary financial assistance to professional, self-employed musicians in Southeastern Wisconsin who are experiencing financial difficulty due to a medical crisis.
