I just heard that former Milwaukee gal Stephanie Dosen, has recorded with Massive Attack and is now touring with the band.
Dosen released her solo debut, "Ghosts, Mice & Vagabonds," here in 2002 before moving to Nashville and then signing with UK-based Bella Union/V2, a label run by former Cocteau Twins bassist Simon Raymonde, She released a second disc, "A Lily for the Spectre," in 2007.
Dosen has gone from Brew City to Bristol's best-ever band in a matter of a couple years. Our own Julie Lawrence will be jealous to know that Dosen recorded with Jose Gonzales in February. Good on ya, girl!
The impressive itinerary for Massive Attack's summer European tour, which includes Dosen, starts at the U.K.'s prestigious Glastonbury Festival and wraps up at the Ola Festival in Almeria, Spain. In between, she hits Ireland, the Netherlands, France, Italy, the Czech Republic, Slovenia, Hungary, Turkey, Greece, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Romania, Belgium and Portugal. Whew.

I think her voice is a perfect foil for the deep beats and melodies of Massive Attack. I LOVE THEM and can't wait to hear this collaboration!

I have to agree. To combine talent with Massive Attack and be from Milwaukee is very impressive. All the best to her and her future endeavors. Massive Attack is already a must get for me but this makes it all the more obtainable.

Ho... leeee.... sheeet. Wow, good for her. She's a super talent, was sad to see her leave town, but hooking up with artists on the level of Massive Attack is a difficult proposition while based in Milwaukee!
