The Rescue Party Tour pounces into Brew City to illuminate a variety of local animal charities and rescue groups. During the one-night visit, the tour will present an award-winning documentary, "An American Opera: the Greatest Pet Rescue Ever" by filmmaker Tom McPhee.
The Rescue Party Tour will be at The Oriental Theatre on Thursday, July 16. Doors open at 6:15 p.m. Tickets are $10 in advance or $15 at the door. A $25 VIP ticket comes with a signed poster and the opportunity to meet and greet with McPhee. Plus, $10 of every VIP ticket goes back to a local animal charity.
"An American Opera" is a visceral vision of what happened to the people of New Orleans who were forced to evacuate without their beloved pets, and the volunteers who came from all over the world to help.
