Milwaukee Film has announced the schedule of films for the 2009 Milwaukee Film Festival, which makes its debut this year.
For descriptions of the films and for information about the many events that are also part of this exciting new event, visit the Milwaukee Film Web site.
You can also get your very own copy of the program book at an event tonight at the InterContinental Hotel Downtown beginning at 5 p.m.

Very ho-hum offerings this year. Where are the noteworthy indies like the latest Jim Jarmusch film and/or the well received "Humpday" ? Guess we'll have to catch them on cable's IFC On Demand.

Love it, but next year, how about some showings for us west siders? The Majestic, perhaps? I realize we'd have to forgo 12 screens worth of "Gamer", but I think we'd be better off for it.

I'm really disappointed. Just looking at the film titles it doesn't look like there are too many foreign films.
