Buy me some popcorn and Cracker Jack. Because Miller Park is becoming a drive-in. No, the Brewers haven't thrown in the towel on baseball, but they are turning Miller Park parking lots into a drive-in movie theater on June 5-6 and Aug. 7-8.
The team's event planning arm is setting up the screen in the Miller Lot and opening the Sausage Haus as a concessions stand. Audio will be transmitted via car radios.
On Friday, you can see Will Ferrell's "Anchorman" and the classic "Jaws." On Saturday, it's all baseball with "The Sandlot" and "Major League."
The theater returns in August and the films featured will be announced at a later date.
The lot opens at 7:30 each movie night and the first film clicks in at dusk, around 8:30 p.m.
Admission is $20 for a vehicle and two people. Additional guests are $5 each.

We're going tomorrow night to see Anchorman & Jaws. I was fine paying a few dollars more than the theaters charge these days to go see some classic movies in an old-school way. Plus, when else can you tailgate at the movies?! Awesome!

"Major League" is not a family movie. I just watched it the other night and forgot how R it was. Great flick, though. I can't see bringing kids to see "Anchorman" either. Although, I love that one too.

Cool idea. I think the price is a little steep for movies that are 5-30 years old. $10 a car load seems about right.

What are the rules for payment if you want to "bike-in" with a radio?
