The Milwaukee Short Film Festival (MSFF) sustained fans through the last decade, and is looking to do another. Showcasing local, national and international film shorts, the MSFF annually supplies the city with a share of renowned short films by industry professionals.
The 10th annual event, held last spring, showcased 45 films from around the world, judged by film veterans Uwe Boll, Zack Ward, Tim Lonsdale and Lori Kahn.
In an effort to raise funds to keep the viewing alive, The Alchemist Theatre is running an encore presentation this Saturday, Nov. 8. Benefiting next spring's MSFF, the Alchemist gives residents another chance to catch the 10th annual screening.
Two showings, 4 and 7 p.m., include two different rounds of nearly 10 shorts each by regional, international and local artists. Check out the event's Web site for a full listing of films.
The selection process for the 11th annual event is already underway. Submit your film short via the festival's Web site through Feb. 10, 2009.
