Waxwing on the way

Waxwing, a new artist consignment shop, will open at 4415 N. Oakland Ave. in Shorewood on March 15. The shop will provide space for local artists to display and sell their work.

The first round of artists include Angie McMonigal, Cheryl Watt, Dan Duffy and Dena Nord.

A grand opening party is set for Friday, March 16 from 6 to 9 p.m.

Steph Davies opened The Waxwing in March, and so far, is extremely pleased with the support she`s received from the local art and business community. The gallery / boutique showcases the work of more than 80 local artists.
