A few months back I had a cell phone to recycle and despite having heard about some ways to accomplish it, I had forgotten most of them, and was struggling. A few people at work suggested some things and I ultimately mailed it off to a recycling place free of charge.
Then last week I had the emissions tested on my car and there was a phone recycling center there. Yesterday, I saw Whole Foods now allows you to recycle them there, too.
Too late for the most recent phone, but at least now I can recycle that rechargeable battery pack from my now-defunct home phone. Whole Foods takes those, too! That gets one more piece of junk off my office desk!
The recycling boxes are just outside the rest rooms adjacent to the checkout lanes and the lunch area.
