Need a haircut? You might want to consider holding out through the weekend until Monday, April 28, when Beauty hosts its "Grandmothers Beyond Borders" fundraiser from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Cuts are $45 and styles are $35, but all the stylists volunteer their services and all the money goes to Grandmothers Beyond Borders, a Milwaukee-based charity supporting matriarchs in Uganda rearing their own grandchildren who have lost their parents due to the AIDS epidemic. The funds will help directly impact four villages in the Kampala region of Uganda.

The event includes a raffle of gift certificates to Café Hollander and local businesses. Call Beauty Eastside, 1633 N. Farwell Ave., (414) 276-5054 to schedule an appointment.
