Nine years ago, Diane Djukic opened Divna -- "gorgeous" in Serbian -- in Pewaukee after working in corporate retail for the plus-size industry for 15 years. A few years ago daughter Sofija moved the store to the Phoenix Building, 219 N. Milwaukee St., in the Historic Third Ward.

Today, via e-mail, we learned that Divna's final day of business is Saturday, Dec. 13.

Here's the entire message:

"Dear Devoted Diva's, We are sorry to announce that due to hard economic times, Divna's last day of business will be Saturday December 13th. We want to inform everyone that the entire store will be 60-70% off!! I want to thank everyone for a blessed nine-year journey! It has been a pleasure getting to know everyone and dressing our divas! Come in from Today-Saturday for great savings!! Wishing everyone Happy and Healthy Holidays and a Happy New Year!! Look out for updates and news from me as I begin a new chapter!"
