The Women's Business Source, the most comprehensive directory of women-owned businesses ever published in the Milwaukee area, is now available at more than 260 locations including businesses, libraries, community centers and online at www.womensbusinesssource.com
The directory also includes seating charts, Milwaukee transit maps, area codes and phone numbers for museums, libraries and chambers of commerce in Milwaukee and the surrounding suburbs.
There are more than 29,000 women-owned businesses in the metro Milwaukee area, and the directory features more than 2,000 of them. The publishers plan to increase the number of listings substantially each year.
The 96-page book features the artwork of Lori Delfosse, owner of Eden Studios, whose submission was selected as the cover piece through on-line voting.
"We've seen an exciting motivation shift with women in business from doing something 'for the cause' to recognizing a solid marketing strategy and realizing a healthy return on investment," says Publisher Rebecca Atwood Langeler. "The directory is a direct result of that mindset."
