Think my teeth will look like this after one week of white strips? |

After years of contemplating, I think I'm ready to invest in Crest Whitestrips and give teeth whitening a whirl. However, I am wavering a little bit, mostly because I am wondering about the results.
My teeth are fairly white already, but two decades of coffee drinking and weekly wine indulging have robbed my chompers of their extreme pearly whiteness. However, I would hate to have my teeth get too white -- nobody wants a truly blinding smiling -- but my gut says that won't happen with a home whitening kit. Right?
I plan to document this process, so I'll post the results in a later blog. In the mean time, I'll take this opportunity to report that my New Year's resolution to floss daily is going very well. I know you were wondering.

Be careful, they make your teeth VERY sensitive! Although I haven't tried the Crest Sensitive Whitening Strips I'm sure they're probably a better way to go. If you fall off the flossing bandwagon I also hear that water picks are amazing and do a far better job than floss... just what I've heard on the down low...

I use the Listerine whitening mouthwash as well as Rembrandt intense stain removal toothpaste and they work wonders on my coffee & red wine discolorations. Those two are so much easier to use than a whitening strip or even trays from a dentist. Go and get a thorough cleaning and then have your dentist do a power bleaching.

You need to be careful if you have sensitive teeth I found that the whitening peroxide is really painful.

Heck no, Mol. The choppers look great. Spend the money on another bottle of red and invite us over to stain teeth together.

I've been using them off and on the past couple days (trying to make a good impression). I've used them in the past too. You never get a blinding white smile, but I've found using a couple strips gets me a whiter smile. I usually don't do the whole 14 day regimen, 2 strips a day for half an hour. Sometimes I just do one a day. Try it out, it can't hurt to try (although sometimes your gums or teeth complain, but it's a manageable pain)
