The Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure Series, the largest series of 5K runs/fitness walks in the world, brings its annual event to Milwaukee on Sunday. And, OnMilwaukee.com is once again a sponsor.
The event raises significant funds and awareness for the fight against breast cancer, celebrates breast cancer survivors, and honors those who have lost their battle with the disease.
So, why not join us on Sunday for the 5K walk/run?
Register at the event. It begins at 8:30 a.m. (get there early to register) at the Milwaukee Art Museum.

Regarding the pink light bulbs - I heard about the Pink Porch Lights program on the radio too. Ace stores are donating all of the profits of the bulbs to Am. Cancer Society's Strides Against Breast Cancer for local Milwaukee are programs. I'm an Ace fan - and the stores are really decked out. They are trying to raise $80,000. I bought 2.

I am all in favor of Breast Cancer Research, but did Channel 12 REALLY need to have a skycopter hovering above my apartment building at 7:30 in the morning? Not a good way to wake up after going to bed at 3.

I heard a commercial on the radio this morning saying that you should go to your local Ace Hardware store, buy a pink light bulb and put it in your porch light. What does that do for breast cancer? If everybody who buys a pink light bulb were to take the money they are going to spend on the bulb and donated it to fund breast cancer research, it could probably raise hundreds of thousands of dollars.
