What is a blog? For us it is a short blurb that we write when the mood strikes us. It can be first person, funny or informative. In short, a blog is whatever we want it to be. Published June 7, 2009 at 11:18 a.m.

Ask any woman under the age of 45 if she's "experimented" with other chicks and you'll probably receive a resounding "Oh, yeah."

Straight girl-on-girl action has definitely become a more and more regular and accepted occurrence at bars and in dorm rooms over the past 30 years.

I didn't grow up during the '60s or '70s, but I can imagine there was a serious amount of girl love going on back then. Today, however, it's more the norm on any given Friday or Saturday night, no longer reserved just for spring break debauchery or designated to the Free Love Generation.

I'm not a lesbian; but making out with my roommates in college or grinding and kissing with girls at clubs was never out of the question when I was in college. Whether at a house party French kissing for free shots or just a little one-on-one action after a night out, it was never all that weird. In high school I knew a lot of girls that were just friends, but they would kiss for hours for the sake of practice and because of course, it feels really good.

A friend of mine told me a story about a couple of her high school friends coming to visit her at college and what started as a fun, drunken night out turned into some serious heavy petting between all of them piled into a bed together. Why not? If nobody wakes up feeling weird about it -- no harm, no foul.

We aren't that naïve guys, we know it drives you insane to watch two girls do anything vaguely sexual together, but that's just your male brain working overtime. Two girls are always better than one. Four boobs are always better than two and ... well, you know where I'm going with this.

When two drunk girls at a bar start making out, any straight guy within a five-mile radius will come running to check it out hoping and praying that they could end up somewhere in that mix, (Oh, and for your future reference, while you might have a shot with the straight chicks that make out at bars in front of you, you do not have a chance with real, true lesbians ... they like chicks, deal with it). It's not so true the other way around.

Girls don't hang around clubs just hoping that a pair of guys will start tonguing. Honestly it doesn't gross me out in the least; I simply don't get off on the idea and I think most girls would agree with me. When I see that I think to myself, "they are a really cute couple." Girl-on-girl porn is popular with both women and men, but you can't say the same for gay porn.

When two guys make out, I not only assume, but know with 99.9 percent certainty that they are gay. Straight guys don't make out with their guy friends for free shots, let alone just for fun. Ask any one of your straight guy friends about this and watch as his face squishes into that grossed out puddle as he tries desperately to get the image out of his head.

"Look I'm not a homophobe; I just would never do that!" Relax -- no one is going to question your sexuality here, frat boy.

Girls in general appreciate the female form in ways that straight men have trouble doing with other men's bodies. Girls are constantly comparing, contrasting, criticizing and complimenting each others' bodies. And while guys walk around free-balling in every locker room across the country, when was the last time you heard two guys arguing about who is prettier?

There is also a safety factor in play. Obviously, two girls messing around aren't worried about pregnancy. Depending on how far it goes, you may or may not have to worry about certain STDs. But in general, we just feel less stress about the situation. Especially if it's with a friend; you know them, you know their history and you trust them. Sure, alcohol usually plays a role, but it's also a lot less likely that I could make out with a guy friend and not have it get complicated down the line. That's a non-issue with girls, we aren't going to get jealous when our friend makes out with her new boyfriend. Like I said -- no harm, no foul.

And of course, let's not forget the fact that when someone's got the same anatomy as you do, you automatically have a better sense of what to touch and how to touch it. Not that every woman likes to be touched or kissed the same way, but it can only help matters to have a general idea of how something will feel. Face it guys, the same would apply to you.

So, why is this so socially accepted now? Probably because like most sex-related topics, we are completely desensitized to it. As long as something is legal, it doesn't really shock us anymore. Guys certainly aren't going to object to it and girls who do it seem to like doing it. Who knows, maybe down the road guys will follow suit and just start Frenching at bars, concerts and house parties. Maybe not.

I disagree and agree with so much about this blog, that it confuses me. Perhaps, it's because I'm a woman who has identified as bi for nearly two decades, and I'm too old to get it. Anyhow, in general, I say to each their own. To that point, I do think that two guys kissing can easily be hot. And, I've known many straight men to appreciate the male form. Huh. I must be skirting on the fringe of society. So now, I'm old AND weird.. Interesting.

it's hip to be "bi" or at least "bi-curious" at least that's the point of this article. It's cute when girls Make out but when men make out it weirds us out. I think this would have been a more interesting article if this phenomenon was explored instead of this fun fluff

This mundane analysis is really pointless. Girls these days kiss in bars to get the attention of men. Not out of any sexual urge. The act comes from the same type of low esteem that causes girls to be promiscuous. They allow themselves to be exploited. For shots and drinks. Classy. As a woman who has gone beyond bi-curious - and done so out of actual sexual desire - I can say these girls in bars make me sad and more than a little annoyed. This blog, however, is just plain boring. At least when Tyra covered "Barsexuals" she made it salacious enough to hold interest.

What is the point of this article? This is easily the dumbest thing I've ever read on OMC. Come on guys, is there nothing else to talk about in Milwaukee? I could care less who makes out with who and what sex they are. To each their own.
