There's a bunch of interesting events this weekend, including a pow wow, spooky hike, Wolf Awareness Day and more!

SATURDAY

COSTUME SHOPPING WITH THE PROS
The Milwaukee Rep's costume sale is Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Enter through the Stiemke lobby. Get expert costume advice from trained professionals. Cash or check only.

PAINT YOUR OWN SCULPTURE
Freckle Face Boutique, 407 E. Buffalo St., offers this event from 10 a.m. to noon. Call for more info, (414) 298-1488. Also, check out Benjamin John Van Male's show, called "Flying," on Gallery Night / Day. "Flying" hangs at Freckle Face until Nov. 11.

POW WOW
UW-Milwaukee holds its 30th annual Autumn Pow Wow Saturday from 1:30 to 10 p.m. It takes place at Union Ballroom and is free and open to the public. The event features Native American dancing, arts and crafts and authentic food. It's all sponsored by the by UWM American Indian Student Services and American Indian Student Association. BOO AT THE ZOO
Tiny ghosts and goblins are invited to enjoy a host of Halloween fun at the Milwaukee County Zoo Saturday night at 6 p.m. Festivities include a Halloween Maze, colorful crafts and not-too-spooky movies. Reduced admission rates apply during the event. For details, call (414) 771-3040. More:

HUNGRY LIKE THE WOLF
Saturday is Wolf Awareness Day at the Milwaukee County Zoo. From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., take your pack to the Zoo for special wolf-themed activities. Join in the howling contest, see timber wolves take their daily feeding and learn which enrichment items they enjoy most. All activities are free with regular Zoo admission.

SCARY FOREST TREK
Join a night traveler for a haunting, humorous and informative trek through the enchanted forest at the Wehr Nature Center. Meet creepy characters along the jack-o-lantern lit trail. PINK HOUSE PARTY
Brand new studio/art gallery called Pink House Studio, 601 E. Wright St., hosts an open house on Sunday from 4-7 p.m. Pink House Studio will feature a variety of classes and services including massage, movement coaching, dance, yoga and more. Prenatal yoga will eventually be on the roster as well. The whole family is invited to check out this new space.

Gallery Night and Day returns this weekend with a whopping 64 participants. Presented by the East Town and Historic Third War Associations, this 20-year-old tradition offers free parking in Third Ward structures and free bus that makes a loop around the venues. GET LOST IN CORN

LITTLE HOUSE OF HORRORS
The Hubertus House of Horrors is one of the area's longest running haunted houses (and one of the only ones that is actually in a house). New this year, you'll find the Swamp Room, the Tropical Island and The Vortex. Tickets can be purchased at the Haunted House from 6 until 10:30 p.m. Admission is $10 to this non-profit event. The house will be open each Friday and Saturday night in October. More:
