Event Description
Heidi- 1937, 88 min. With Shirley Temple, Jean Hersholt, Arthur Treacher, Marcia Mae Jones, and Mary Nash.
Adapted from the beloved children's book by Johanna Spyri. Twentieth Century Fox took some liberties with the book, making it into a vehicle for Shirley Temple who was the most popular film star in the world at the time. It's the story of a little girl who goes to live with her broken-hearted grandfather and helps her friend to walk again. Other details were changed for Shirley's image, including a musical sequence and moving the story to Germany so there could be a big Christmas sequence and so Shirley could sing "Silent Night."
Free with general admission to the Museum: $5 Adults/$3 Seniors, Veterans and Students/Free for members and Active Military. For more information, call 414.278.8295.
