Event Description

The Boulevard Ensemble Studio Theatre will hold auditions for its 23rd season today and tomorrow. Additional audition times may be later announced. Adult and young actors (high school age and above) of varied experience levels and ethnic backgrounds are encouraged to audition. Those auditioning are asked to present two memorized, contrasting monologues which do not exceed five minutes total audition time. Auditioning artists will complete contact forms which also ask for potential conflicts (other shows, upcoming auditions, job & work times). Please bring any planners, Blackberries, etc. that may assist in answering questions about upcoming conflicts with shows, rehearsals and performances. Artists appearing with the Boulevard receive a stipend.

Auditions are by appointment only; please call the Ensemble's 24-hour voicemail @ 414.744.5757 to schedule an audition. Please arrive ten to fifteen minutes prior to your audition time. Potential productions for the Ensemble's 2008-2009 season may include Beth Henley's award-winning comedy CRIMES OF THE HEART; Lanford Wilson's drama THE RIMERS OF ELDRITCH; William Shakespeare's romantic comedy AS YOU LIKE IT; and Hugh Whitemore's affecting bio-play STEVIE. Other plays may be announced or may replace some of the above-mentioned titles.

Individual artists are strongly encouraged to familiarize themselves with the Boulevard's past & current seasons, upcoming productions, and audition guidelines by visiting our website through the link above.
