Event Description Friends of Villa Terrace and the Renaissance Garden Club present this series of lectures to be accompanied by a bouquet of blooming ideas throughout the season. The series opens with Edward Lyon, Executive Director of the Rotary Botanical Gardens in Janesville, presenting Made in the Shade, and expert “how to” for shade gardeners. He explains that mature gardens can be problematic – you may have begun with full-sun perennial beds, but the trees you nurtured to maturity can now diminish the plants’ ability to thrive. He will offer us a variety of shade plants beyond traditional hostas and astilbes.
Cost to attend individual lectures is $10 for members, $15 for non-members. Passes to attend all four programs in the series costs $35 for members and $55 for non-members. Please call 414.271.3656 x12 for reservations and more information.
