Event Description

Milwaukee Shakespeare concludes its 2007/2008 season with the Milwaukee premiere of Cymbeline, an epic voyage through a fantasy world of Shakespeare’s own creation. Pre-performance talks begin 45 minutes before every performance. Cymbeline is a story of faith and love, with a healthy dose of trickery and treachery. An absent king, a virtuous princess and the love of her life, an evil stepmother, long-lost siblings, a disguised escape into the woods… Cymbeline is a fairy tale. As one of Shakespeare’s latest plays, it also becomes a journey for Shakespeare himself, looking back at his career, drafting a play out of favorite themes and characters.
