Event Description

Outpost is on a mission to make you best buddies with your kitchen! Taught by Outpost staff nutritionist Judy Mayer, this is the second part of our popular Outpost Cooks series of workshops designed to unlock the secrets of great basic cooking skills.

Each class will provide handouts and recipes, including items prepared in the classroom. Sign up for one class or for all. No prerequisites are necessary. You must be 16 years or older. Cost for each class: $20 Outpost owners, $25 non-owners Register at any Outpost Natural Foods store or by calling (414) 431-3377 Ext. 110. Registration deadline 2 days before the class begins.

This evening, join us for Lesson Seven - For the Love of Soy. Back by popular demand – a basic class on soy cookery and an introduction to a healthy vegetarian lifestyle. The versatile soybean can easily become part of your weekly meals. Soy foods are an excellent source of complete protein, inexpensive and easy to prepare. We will bake, sauté and blend tofu, make a soy protein smoothie and give tempeh a taste. Come alive with tofu because you can!
