Mary Fahl at Shank Hall
In the mid-'90s, Mary Fahl sang with the pop rock (and slightly goth) band October Project. In 2013, she released "Love & Gravity," a full-length solo record and the impetus for her current tour that will lead her to Shank Hall on Friday, May 3.

ICHC/Grand Ave. church
If you look closely at the stained glass windows in the former Grand Avenue Congregational Church, 2133 W. Wisconsin Ave., you'll spy little green shamrocks amid the variegated designs. Deem it a sign, or a divine prediction, or perhaps just coincidence. But whatever you call it, the Irish Cultural and Heritage Center has found itself a stunning Victorian Romanesque home, designed by one of the most respected architects in Milwaukee history.
