Workshops with the Masters

Use an eclectic assemblage of tips, tricks and tools and explore a multitude of resources for idea generation and hands-on jewelry making. Focus primarily on cold connections and traditional hand tool techniques, but also play with a variety of forming and linking mechanics using a torch. Color, collage and a few special fun tools will be created out of hardware and ordinary materials. Bench tricks, impromptu demonstrations, design exercises, and discussions on creating jewelry with personal content will be explored. Students will create a small variety of tools, many experimental pieces and one souvenir work.
