"Yo Gabba Gabba!" tour to stop in Brew City

"Yo Gabba Gabba! Live! There's A Party In My City" -- based on the Nick Jr. kids' show "Yo Gabba Gabba!" -- hits the road for a multi-city tour and will stop at Milwaukee's Riverside Theater on Sunday, March 14 at 2 and 5 p.m.

Tickets go on sale tomorrow, Friday, Jan. 29, at noon. Tickets range in price from $29.50 to $39.50. Contact the Riverside box office for tickets.

Hip-hop legend Biz Markie will take the stage with the show's main character, DJ Lance, as well as special guests The Aquabats, whose front man Christian Jacobs is the co-creator of the show.

"Yo Gabba Gabba!" infuses retro-style and beat-driven music to teach simple life lessons through music.

Stay tuned to OnMilwaukee.com for a "Yo Gabba Gabba!" ticket giveaway in February.

I was channel surfing the other day and caught a few minutes of this show....is it just me...or does that orange character look like something I heard you can buy at an adult novelty store? Kind of a strange show for kids.

Ok...two questions... 1. Is Wayne Coyne the other co creator? 2. $30?! I'm not sure how family friendly this is if it's going to cost me $90 (not including the everpresent service fees) to take my girlfriend, our daughter and myself!
