The lust for power can do many things to a person. Macbeth and his lady aspire to reign over Scotland. Three witches tell Macbeth it's his destiny, but the only way he can make their predictions true is through bloodshed.
Macbeth may be a hero on the battlefield, but his killings catch up with him. He must keep killing in order to hold onto his throne, but his death is imminent.
Milwaukee Shakespeare puts on its production of Macbeth March 3-11 at the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center of the Arts, 19805 W. Capitol Dr., in Brookfield. Tickets are $25 to $50.
