| Description [edit] | |
|
Headed by Italian-born Mimma Megna, this family-owned restaurant has matured from an eight-table place to a full-grown fine dining restaurant that accommodates about 150.
The wine list is extensive and the dishes -- from different regions of Italy -- are authentic. It's considered upscale, but feels quite comfortable inside. |

We dined at Mimma's on Saturday, Feb 17th. The entre's where delicious, but I was troubled by other details of the ambiance and service. When we walked in there were two college/high school girls wearing pull over hood sweatshirts. I have always precevied Mimma's to be an elegant atmosphere, and it bothered me that these two should even have been seated! Our server was pleasant, but his timing was flawed. Although we were in no hurry, the time it took this young man to get to back to our table with drinks, bread, or water was way too long. We will come back, but if things are the same, we likely will never come back.
